Last week, the Rector of the Ruhr University Axel Schölmerich signed a protest letter demanding the release of Ahmadreza Djalali, a scientist wrongfully imprisoned in Iran. The Ruhr-University is part of the global network Scholars at Risk and is committed to a free, global academic community and the principles of academic freedom. This summer semester, we are offering a Scholars at Risk Advocacy Seminar, where you will work as part of an international team to advocate for imprisoned scholars like Dr. Djalali.
