In their recent post on Verfassungsblog, Prof. Dr. Theresia Degener and IFHV's Research Associate Vanessa Bliecke discuss the reform of German abortion law in light of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and argue for a non-discriminatory approach that does not differentiate on the basis of disability.

Theresia Degener is a retired professor of law and disability studies in Bochum and former chair of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Geneva.

Vanessa Bliecke is a Research Associate and PhD candidate at the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV), Ruhr-University Bochum.
