Congratulations to the Bochum Jessup Team 2024/2025!

Congratulations to the Bochum Jessup Team 2024/2025! The RUB team won all four preliminary round matches at the German National Round, a kind of German championship in international law, and was only eliminated in a close quarterfinal against the University of Freiburg. Additionally, the Bochum team received several honors, including awards for the second-best applicant memorial, the third-best respondent memorial, and the third-best memorials overall. The Bochum team was also recognized as the second-strongest applicant side overall. Furthermore, Jannik Neumann was honored as one of the ten best speakers of the entire tournament.

The team members were all former and current students of specialization 4 of the law faculty on international and European Law: Lukas Herich (Chair of Professor Schaub), Britta Happel (Chair of Professor Ennuschat), Katharina Thiehoff and Niklas von Estorff (ZfI and IFHV), as well as Jannik Neumann (IFHV). The two main coaches were Vanessa Bliecke and Rouven Diekjobst (both research associates at IFHV), supported by student coach Yari-Lasse Jäger (Chair of Cremer and IFHV). The overall academic responsibility was in the hands of Professor Pierre Thielbörger.
