History

Ruhr University Bochum has a long-standing association with the Jessup Moot Court, dating back to 2002. The university has taken part in the competition every year since 2009.

The Chair of Professor em. Dr. Adelheid Puttler, LL.M. (Chicago) supervised the university's teams until 2023. Presently, Mooties undergo training at the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict/Institut für Friedenssicherungsrecht und Humanitäres Völkerrecht (IFHV).
