Jessup Moot Court
Welcome to the new home of Ruhr University Bochum's Jessup teams!
Every year since 2003, a team from Ruhr University Bochum has participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court with great success. At the Jessup, students play lawyers from two fictitious states who are involved in a dispute before the International Court of Justice of the United Nations. Every year in September, a 30-page case is published in English, on which the teams write pleadings for the defense and the prosecution and then conduct oral hearings.
