Bofaxe

Bofaxe (singular: Bofax, pronunciation: [ˈboːfaxə] in German) is a portmanteau of "Bochum," home of the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV), and "fax," as the analyses were originally sent as one-page documents via fax when the series was initiated in 1988 by Professor Knut Ipsen.

Bofaxe are short, scientific analyses of current developments in international law. They are written regularly by members and associated members of the IFHV. Since 2019, these Bofaxe have been published in collaboration with the Völkerrechtsblog, providing concise expert opinions and timely insights into pressing legal issues.
